On Thursday at 12:31 p.m., Marshall County deputies were dispatched to the 3300-Mile of 130th Street for a report of a disturbance with a family member that displayed a handgun. Before deputies arrived, the family member left the property in a vehicle and was believed to be traveling to Marshalltown. At approximately 1:04 p.m., the family member’s vehicle was observed entering the Iowa Veterans Home property at 1301 Summit St. IVH security was notified for safety protocol as Marshalltown Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
