Marshalltown High School boys’ swim team capitalized on opportunities to win six events in their 95-70 victory over Grinnell/BGM as Ivo Raunic grabbed three first place finishes: 50 freestyle and as a member of two relay teams, also swimming the best time in the 100 breaststroke exhibition race.

The BCL-U-W Comet girls’ basketball squad put on some hot shooting in the 72-68 victory over Ackley-Geneva as Shannan Kadner hit 18-of-24 for a game-high 38 points and teammate Cherilyn Kruse went 11-of-12 for 22 points followed by Jane Smith with 12.
