The Marshalltown Elks Lodge #312 will again be collecting deer hides. The Elks will process them and distribute to disabled veterans who will turn them into handcrafted leather goods.

Drop-off locations are: Kwik Star, S. Sixth St., and East Side Tire and Auto, 1206 E. Main St. At these locations you will find a drop-off barrel to place your cleaned hides.

A special thanks to Mid Iowa Cooperative-Haverhill Division, for the salt needed to preserve the hides until they are processed. Don’t let your hides go overseas, donate your hides to the Elks and allow for disabled veterans to use the hides.
