During the March meeting of the VFW Harry C. Harter Post 839, held at 6:30 p.m. on March 21, American Legion member Bob Miller presented the Combined Honor Guard report for February. He reported three funerals receiving military honors. The Honor Guard also conducted military honors and provided pall bearers for two funerals at the Iowa Veterans Home cemetery for two residents who did not have any family members present.
