Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met Nov. 12 at Glenwood Place for lunch with eight members present, one guest and nine absent including the hostess Diane Hobson who had made the arrangement of the meeting earlier. Alice Nicholson, secretary/treasurer, opened the meeting thanking those who came on such a snowy blustery day. Entre Nous Club met at Binford House on Nov. 5 with 12 members and three guests present. Hostesses were Janice Juchems and Pat Preece. President Marlys Ankrum opened the meeting with members reciting The Americans Creed. Minutes were read by secretary Eleanor Stegmann and approved as read. President Jim Goodman presented a check to the Marshalltown Coliseum fund during the Nov. 12 meeting of Rotary. Mayor Joel Greer stood in for campaign chair and Rotarian Vic Hellberg. Larry McKibben introduced Sharon Greer who was appointed to the Iowa Court of Appeals bench by Gov. Kim Reynolds this past Spring. Before her appointment, Greer practiced law with Cartwright, Druker & Ryden in town that has since merged with the Bradshaw Law firm. Veterans programs presented at Twentieth Century

The Twentieth Century Club met at Fisher Community Center on Nov. 11. President Joynell Raymon called the meeting to order. Terry Gray introduced the program with two veterans–themed speakers. The first was Gloria DeBower from the Central Iowa Quilt Sew-ciety whose efforts through the Quilts of Valor program has made and distributed quilts to veterans in the Marshall County area for more than five years.
