Incidents

• On Thursday, a dispute between persons escalated to a criminal mischief-fifth degree case at the corner of Main Street and First Street.

• On Thursday, Monica Garcia, 27, was cited for no insurance.

• On Thursday, Monica Garcia, 27, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Thursday, Jellsel Gaitan, 26, was arrested for interference with official acts.

• On Thursday, Michael Tremaine, 50, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Miguel Navarro, 30, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Thursday, a vehicle driven by Jesus Alvarez Mederos, 51, of Marshalltown, was northbound on 18th Avenue when it attempted a left turn crossing the path of a car driven by Danette Rene Damman, 50, of Montour, resulting in a collision. Alvarez Mederos and Damman were transported to UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown with possible injuries. Alvarez Mederos was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $6,000 each.

• On Wednesday, a school bus driven by Angel Smith, 38, of Marshalltown, was attempting to go around a semi parked in the semi-circle in front of Marshalltown High School when it side swiped the driver side front. No injuries were reported. Damage to the semi was estimated at $3,000 while the school bus received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

• On Thursday, Chelsea Ann Peddle, 35, was arrested on a warrant.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 3007 S. Center St., 403 N. Fourth Ave., 1208 E. State St., 408 Lee St. and 1204 E. Ferner St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 24 W. Main St., 910 E. Olive St., 122 W. Main St., 303 S. 16th Ave. and 1402 E. Main St.

Aug. 31

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two smoke detector activations-no fire-unintentional at 1211 W. State St. and 8 W. Lincoln St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 402 Washington St., 104 N. 22nd St., 207 Pine St. and 1 W. Grant St.

Aug. 30

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gas leak at 19 N. Center St., an unintentional transmission of alarm at 3401 S. Second St. and nine medical assists with the EMS crew to: Fourth Avenue and Anson Street, 911 W. Nevada St., 107 W. Meadow Lane, 1110 Fremont St., 308 N. Third Ave., 1204 S. 12th St., 314 Sharon Ave., 18 W. Berle Road and 104 N. Sixth St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 102 N. 19th St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at South 18th Avenue and Anson Street and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 708 W. Church St., 405 N. 13th Ave., 1206 W. Lincoln Way, 6 E. Grant St. and 511 N. 12th Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an electrical wiring/equipment problem at Sixth Street Auto, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2907 S. Sixth St. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 707 W. Boone St. and 311 S. Second St.

Aug. 27

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 501 N. Third Ave, a cooking fire at 408 W. High St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 3202 S. 12th St., a gas leak at 100 E. State St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle, 2901 S. Center St., 408 W. High St. and 305 W. Meadow Lane.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 2907 S. Sixth St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Governor Road and Iowa Avenue East and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 906 S. Sixth Ave., 506 N. Third Ave., 106 S. First St., 3012 S. Center St., 1402 E. Main St. and 921 N. Third Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 1211 W. State St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1707 S. Seventh Ave., 204 Pleasantview Road and 403 N. Third Ave.
