Court — Thursday

• Lilea Flower Moore made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing charge. The sentencing hearing is set for 3 p.m. on Nov. 30. Moore is being held without bond.

• Jaqueline Melendez made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a possession of a controlled substance charge, a driving under suspension charge, an operation without registration charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Jerome McDowell made an initial appearance on a violation of a restricted license charge, a driving while barred charge, a speeding charge and a no insurance charge. On the driving while barred charge a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 30. McDowell pleaded guilty to all other charges. On the violation of the restricted license charge the fine is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the speeding charge is $55 with a $8.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $118.25. The no insurance fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Cheyenne Lucille Johnson made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. Johnson pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Cody Michael Rhodes made an initial appearance on two counts of a driving under suspension charge. Rhodes pleaded guilty to both charges. On one driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the other is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Mar’Quez Jordan made an initial appearance on a controlled substance violation charge, a keeping a premises or vehicle for a controlled substance violation charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Terry Jordan made an initial appearance on a keeping a premises or vehicle for a controlled substance violation charge, a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 30 days.

• Cristina Hefler made an initial appearance on four counts of a forgery charge, a theft-second degree charge, an identity theft charge and a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Jose de Jesus Hernandez Garcia made an initial appearance on a contempt of court charge. Taylor Reichardt will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing will be set by the District Associate Court. A no contact order has been issued for the protected party.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Terry Jordan, 49, was arrested for keeping a premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Tuesday, Cristine Helfer, 28, was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft-second degree, four charges of forgery, identity theft and theft-third degree-bad checks.

• On Tuesday, Wheeler Alan Hulin, 29, was arrested for assault-causing bodily injury.

• On Tuesday, Nov. 10, Racer Alan Hulin, 33, was arrested for assault-causing bodily injury.
