Sept. 22

• Josephine Estrada Duenas made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. Estrada Duenas pleaded guilty and the fine is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354.

• Michael Curtis Branch made an initial appearance on a pre-trial release violation charge. Pre-trial release has been revoked. The bond is $1,000 cash or surety. A pre-trial conference is set for 1p.m. on Oct. 13 with a jury trial set at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26.

• Terry Lee Echols made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 11 a.m. on Oct. 2. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jesus Christiano Morales made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 27. Morales is being held without bond.

• Jose Alfredo Carbajal Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 in Magistrate Court.

• Richard Arnold Stevens Jr., failed to appear for a failure to use safety belts-adult charge and a driving under suspension charge. The court found Stevens guilty on both charges. The fine on the seat felt charge is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Helle Leann Neville made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Neville pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Juan Marcos Luis Ambrosio made an initial appearance on a failure to be mugged and printed charge. The court ordered that Ambrosio appear at the Marshalltown Police Department within 15 days to be printed and photographed.
