Jean O’Leary McKay, 98
Jean O’Leary McKay, 98, of Palm City, FL, died on June 25, 2020, at Waters Edge Extended Care facility. She moved to Florida in 2010 from Marshalltown, IA where she had lived for 57 years.
Born in Dubuque, IA on September 5, 1921, she is the daughter of Daniel J. and Gertrude Clarke O’Leary. She married John McKay on June 9, 1945, in Dubuque, IA.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, and a former member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown.
Survivors include daughters: Karen (Loras) Neuroth, of Coralville, IA, Deborah McKay, of Palm City, FL; sons: Dr. John K. “Jack” (Dr. Jan) McKay, Jr., of Vidalia, GA, Dr. Kevin M. (Dr. Elizabeth) McKay, of Palm City; Dutch daughter Grace Eschauzier, of Palm City; four grandchildren: Heather Gatlin, Stephanie (Colin) Senuta, Jacquelyn (Andrew) McKay-Lomatschinsky, and Madeline McKay and three great grandchildren: Ana and Sidney Senuta and Olivia Gatlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2012; brothers Daniel, Mark and William and sisters Dorothy and Betty.

A Memorial will be held at a later date due to COVID-19. Burial was on June 27, 2020, at Fern Hill Cemetery, Stuart, FL. with graveside services by Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
