On June 25, the Marshalltown Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s office held its annual Child Car Safety Seat Check event at the Fareway parking lot. There were five certified Child Passenger Safety technicians working during the five-hour event. By the end of the day, 49 seats were checked and inspected and 20 new replacement seats were provided for recalled or expired seats.

This was another successful event in an effort to provide the public with information and education on the importance of child safety seats. A special thanks to Fareway for the use of their parking lot and to Al Hoop for donating toward the purchase of new seats.
