In response to Peter Rogers
I’d like Peter to understand that I would rather shop local, especially since I’m of an age where I don’t drive a lot.
I had a Younkers ad and a Penney’s ad and shopped at those stores a lot for good products at fair prices. But alas, they’re gone from Marshalltown now, a great loss for shoppers.
I won’t be driving to Ames and most certainly not to Des Moines to shop. Even K-Mart is gone. I often shopped there also.
So unless Marshalltown can convince these markets to return or new shops to replace them, I’m at a loss.
