AMES — Iowa State sophomore guard Ashley Joens is the Big 12’s Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Joens was given the award for a third time after averaging 24 points and 12.5 rebounds per game against TCU and Oklahoma State. Joens had two double-doubles and scored 31 points against TCU. Joens is fifth in the nation in scoring at 23.1 points per game and leads the Cyclones in rebounding at 10.7 per game.

The Cyclones are 10-6 and 2-3 in Big 12 play. Up next is a home game against Kansas State Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
