No. 10 Comet netters split in home triangular
CONRAD — The BCLUW volleyball team split a home triangular on Thursday night, beating South Hamilton before falling to South Hardin.
The Class 1A No. 10 Comets (3-1) took care of the South Hamilton Hawks, 25-22, 25-12, in their opener. A balanced attack saw Miranda Jones lead the Comet offense with seven kills, while Grace Farnsworth finished with four kills. Mallori Jones added three kills, while Virginia Kaisand and setter Sydney Anderson had two kills apiece.
Anderson totaled 15 assists in the match.
Klayre Gallentine had a team-leading seven digs, while Anderson and Kailan McEwen both had a block. Callie Swanson served 15-for-15 with four aces to lead the way.
South Hardin (3-0), ranked 11th in 2A, won the finale over BCLUW 25-23, 23-18. Stats from that match were unavailable as of press time.
