Crooks advances to Lisa Leslie Top 10

AMES — Iowa State sophomore center Audi Crooks has been named one of 10 Lisa Leslie Award candidates as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Friday afternoon.

Crooks becomes the second Cyclone to be named a Top 10 finalist for the Lisa Leslie Award, which recognizes the top centers in women’s NCAA Division I basketball. Kristin Scott (2018-2021) was previously named a top-10 finalist in 2020. The award is named after the three-time All-American, 1994 National Player of the Year and Class of 2015 Hall of Famer.

Crooks has averaged 22.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game to lead the Cyclones in 2024-25. She has scored in double figures in 57 straight contests and posted 16 20-plus point scoring performances this year. The Algona native became the fastest player in Iowa State women’s basketball to eclipse 1,000 career points earlier this season, reaching the mark in her 49th career game. The 6-3 center is shooting 58.4 percent from the floor.

Starting at $4.38/week.
