Infant and Child CPR plus Choking Class at Guiding Star

July 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Guiding Star Marshalltown will be the site of an Infant and Child CPR plus Choking Class. The class is designed for parents, grandparents and caregivers who want to feel more confident in an emergency. Learn how to recognize when a child or infant needs CPR or choking relief, what to do in those moments and how to practice these lifesaving skills using manikins. The program is led by Julie Grunklee, RN and certified American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor.

According to Lindi Trowbridge, executive director of Guiding Star Marshalltown, “This is a basic skills class for hands on learning and does not provide CPR certification. This is a very popular class and I recommend online registration or calling right away to reserve your place. It fills fast.”
