Chapter DA makes plans for state convention

Chapter DA of the National TTT Society met on March 3 at Loretta Trullinger’s home. Doris Langenbau assisted the hostess. President Erma Meyer called the meeting to order. The Feb. 2 minutes were read and approved. The treasurer gave her report and it will be filed for audit. All standing committees functioned. Matins hear about UnityPoint expansion

Program Host Edie Hodges introduced the Regional Director of UnityPoint, Shari King. King told the Matins that groundbreaking will be this July for the new 38.4 million dollar hospital, clinic and emergency room at the south campus and will be in service by late 2021 or early 2022.

St. Patrick’s Day Card Party is March 16 at American Legion

The American Legion Auxiliary, Frank Lewis Glick Unit 46 of Marshalltown will be sponsoring its annual St. Patrick’s Card Party at 6 p.m. on March 16 at the post home, lower level, 1301 S. Sixth St. There will be many, many door prizes provided by local merchants and a 50/50 drawing held, along with a large variety of refreshments served. Cost is $10 per person, which includes an entry for the door prize drawings and refreshments. 50/50 tickets will be sold separately.
