Caralee Hutchens, president Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi thanked Alice Nicholson for hosting the meeting on Feb. 25 at Dairy Queen, South Center Street.  Eight members and two guests answered the roll call question: “Are you watching the Cubs now on the new Marquee Sports Network?” Only two Cardinal fans declined. Spinning Wheel Chapter serves rootbeer floats

The Spinning Wheel Chapter NSDAR met in Malloy Hall on Feb. 22 for its annual President’s Day Party with the veterans. Regent Barb Wacha presided over a short business meeting. Diane Hobson and Linda Schaper were hostesses. Bill Wilson provided musical entertainment. Nine chapter members made and served root beer floats for the residents. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on March 20 at Glenwood Place. The hostesses will be Ann Heying, and Deb Hupfeld. Program will be “Recycling Education” by Nancy Mach.

A number of guests were on hand with Marshalltown Rotarians to enjoy lunch in the confines of the Orpheum Black Box theater. Dennis and Heidi Drager asked members to join the club in support of the Josh the Otter swim safety program.
