The Marshalltown Evening Lions met last Wednesday night to induct new officers for 2022-23. The 9MC District Governor, Bill Shutters, presented the Lion of the Year Award to Ronald Hersom, gave a Melvin Jones Fellow Award to Leon Hiracheta (posthumously) and awarded three Marshalltown High School Iowa College Scholarships to from left to right: Rebekah Stone, Maarkus Barker and Hayden Oetker, pictured with President Bill Peden. The Evening Lions have given away thousands of dollars within Marshall County during the past year and can be seen popping corn on Saturdays at Hy-Vee.
