P.E.O. Chapter LT initiated Ellen Youds on Aug. 7 at the Presbyterian Church. President Lisa Koester presided over the initiation and meeting with 13 members present.

Cindy Park, a volunteer member of the Marshalltown Central Business District presented the program Downtown Business Development. This non-profit organization with Director Deb Millizer plans and executes ideas to encourage economy, design and promotion of the downtown area. This is accomplished with grants and volunteers for events such as Ridiculous Days, Holiday Stroll, Murals along with watering the hanging baskets and many other events.

The next meeting and tour will be at 1 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the new McFarland Clinic, 421 E. Merle Hibbs Blvd.
