American Legion Auxiliary holds March meeting

The ALA Unit 46 General Meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. on March 11 by Deb Miller followed by the opening prayer, pledge of allegiance, standing in silence and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary. Chapter JU-LT hears CAPS program

Eighteen members of new Chapter JU-LT met on Feb. 3 at the Marshalltown Public Library. Prior to the business meeting, Emma Michels, director of community engagement for CAPS (Child, Adolescent & Parent Support) presented a program on health education.  Members enjoyed refreshments at this time provided by hostesses Karen Bursley, Rhonda Miller and Bonnie Herbold. Meeting was called to order at 6:09 p.m. by Deb Miller followed by the opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, standing in silence and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary. Beta Sigma Phi holds Valentine’s meeting

Beta Sigma Phi, Sigma Master chapter met for lunch at El Portal on Feb. 11. Nine members and one guest answered roll call question: “What was your favorite memory of Valentines Day?” President Dorothy Perry thanked Diane Hobson for hosting the day. Alice Nicholson read the minutes of the January meeting with no corrections, and Barb Noid gave the Treasurer’s report with no change also.
