VFW Auxiliary Post 839 holds March meeting

The March 2023 general membership meeting of the VFW Auxiliary Post 839 met at the post home on March 21. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by President Liz Polkiewicz, followed by the opening ceremonies according to the ritual. There were eight members present, and each of the members are officers. There was one guest present. Chaplain Donna Mitchem gave the Opening Prayer. The March 10 meeting was held in the Madonna Room at St. Henry Church with 13 members present. Co-President RoseAnn Jero opened by giving the group an Irish Blessing. The group then prayed the Rosary led by Co-President Sandy Good. Lunch was served by Co-Hostesses Kathy Slater and Dianne Maile. P.E.O. Chapter LT met at 1 p.m. on March 6 at the Marshalltown Public Library with Lisa Koester, president, presiding with 10 members. The 2023-24 officers present were installed by past president, Joann Neven. Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch on March 14 at El Portal.
