MACC Director presents program on history of building

St. Patrick Study Club

St. Patrick Study Club of St. Francis of Assisi Parish met Feb. 14 at Tremont on Main for a Valentine luncheon and social with seven members present. A Valentine card was signed by all for Barb Ytzen, who is currently unable to attend meetings.  A short business meeting was held with plans discussed for further into the year. The next meeting will be held March 28 at Legends.

Sigma Master celebrates Valentine’s Day

Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met at Marshall County Ag Extension Office on Feb. 14. Caralee Hutchens hosted the day providing a chili soup luncheon, chocolate covered strawberries and cookies. Eight members and two guests answered the roll call with the question: “How did you like the super bowl outcome and halftime entertainment?” President Diane Hobson thanked Hutchens. Minutes of the last meeting were read by Alice Nicholson and approved. Barb Noid gave the treasurer’s report with no change. Ave Maria Club has Valentine’s party

Ave Maria Study Club met at Mama DeGrado’s on Feb. 13 to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. The Study Club and guests gathered for dinner out at Mama DeGrado’s to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day with 16 members and three guests in attendance. They began with a prayer before the meal. There was no business meeting, and after dinner the members and guests enjoyed playing card bingo. The group ended the afternoon with praying the prayer for Priests. Liscomb Auxiliary prepares Valentines for Vets

LISCOMB — Liscomb Legion Auxiliary Unit 87 met at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 at the home of Sharon Hatch in Whitten. President Hatch opened the meeting, the devotional prayer was from Chaplain Dorothy Sorensen. Five members were in attendance. The group recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Auxiliary Preamble followed by a moment of silence for the MIA/POW and deceased veterans. Minutes of the December meeting were read and approved.
