Court – Monday
• Thomas William Switzer, of Liscomb, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Jeffrey Hazen will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Switzer was released on his promise to appear. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
Wednesday
• Aleta AKA Lisa Mae Alberts made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 22. Alberts is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Raymond Larry Horrell made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Horrell will represent himself before the court. A parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by an administrative court judge and the parole board. Horrell is being held without bond.
• David Lorenzo Peppers made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. A contempt hearing will be scheduled by either the District Court or District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Jessica Rae Stanton made an initial appearance on three counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Mark allen Snyder St. made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a seat belt violation charge. Snyder pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The seat belt violation fine is $50 with an $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Truman Allen McKinney made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no valid driver’s license charge, a fraudulent use of registration charge and a no insurance charge. McKinney pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving under suspension charge and no insurance charge the fines are $250 with an $87.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $402.50. The fines on the registration violation and no valid driver’s license charges were $200 with an $70 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $335. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Jesus Gonzalez Marin made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Gonzalez Marin pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 30 in Magistrate Court.
• A 17-year-old female made an initial appearance on a failure to stop in the assured, clear distance charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with an $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.
• Jagger Cain Purk made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge and a no insurance charge. Purk pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving under suspension charge and the no insurance charge the fines were $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the speeding charge is $80 with an $28 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $168. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Devin Blaze Jordan failed to appear for an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and the magistrate found him in default and entered a guilty plea on his behalf. The fine for the driving under suspension was $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.
