Court — Thursday

• Phillip Randall Dunston made an initial appearance on a robbery-second degree charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and an interference with official acts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 12. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

• Omar Alejandro Cruz made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Court Judge and the Department of Correctional Services. Cruz is being held without bond.

• Minerva Soto made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 12. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Sean Patrick Williams made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a plea hearing charge. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The plea hearing will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court. Williams is released on his promise to appear and ordered by the court to speak with his attorney by the end of work on April 8.

• On Wednesday, Samuel Williams, 30, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Jacob Hansen, 27, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Caleb Hammer, 28, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Phillip Dunston, 19, was arrested for interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Rickey Hawkins Jr., 21, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Minerva Soto, 26, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Monday, a vehicle driven by Fabrice Bilonda Ilunga, 36, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South Third Street approaching the intersection with Madison Street when it collided with the rear of a minivan driven by William Ray Maas, 64, of Marshalltown, which was stopped behind two other cars. No injuries were reported. Ilunga was cited for failure to stop in the assured, clear distance. Damage to the Ilunga vehicle was estimated at $10 while the Maas minivan received an estimated $2,000 in damage.
