Court — Monday

• Jeremy Ian Roberts made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 18. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Prosper Lutanda made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-first offense charge and two counts of a child endangerment charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 26. Lutanda was released on his promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected parties.

• Hector Varela Jr. made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-strangulation-second offense charge and an operating without owner’s consent charge. the public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 18. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Pedro Ballester Lamberty made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a failure to yield to an emergency vehicle charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 26. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• A 17-year-old male made an initial appearance on a reckless driving charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14 in Magistrate Court.

• Francisco Sanchez Macip made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. Sanchez Macip pleaded guilty to both charges and the fines are $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each charge, due within 30 days.

• Gabriel Omar Santos Lopez made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 26. o

• Kevin Ray Madison Jr., made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Madison pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 14 in Magistrate Court.

• On Saturday, Shannon McKay, 37, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Saturday, Brenton Roberts, 38, was arrested for false information to law enforcement and on a warrant form another county.

• On Saturday, Shania Kapayou, 22, was arrested for false information to law enforcement officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft-fifth degree-shoplifting, trespass-first offense, interference with official acts and on a warrant.

• On Saturday, Nickolas Murty, 32, was arrested for interference with official acts, driving under suspension and on a warrant from another county.

• On Saturday, Christopher Petersen, 43, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Saturday, Anthony Reed Jr., 50, harassment-first degree and theft-fifth degree-shoplifting.

• On Friday, Anthony Carty, 19, was arrested for domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury-first offense, assault on persons in certain occupations, use or display of a weapon, domestic abuse assault-impeding the flow of air or blood, obstruction of emergency communications and willful injury-causing serious injury.

• On Friday, Hannah Garcia, 22, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense.

• On Friday, Colton Warnell, 30, was arrested for animal neglect.

• On Friday, Tanner Stanley, 21, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense.

• On Friday, Matthew Blink, 33, was arrested for criminal mischief-third degree.

• On Friday, Austin McDanniel, 20, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant.
