Court — Monday

• Blaze Ryan Krough made an initial appearance on a burglary-third degree charge and an interference with official acts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 31. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Samantha Baker made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Baker pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Josue Gregorio Bautista made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Bautista pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Jorge Francisco Lopez Virves made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Lopez Virves pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• A 17-year-old female made an initial appearance on a striking an unattended vehicle charge and a violation of instruction permit charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 27 in Magistrate Court.

• Monica Smith made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Smith pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Josue Chavez-Castaned made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. The authorities failed to file the charge resulting in the judge dismissing it.

• Sharon Warner made an initial appearance on a simple assault charge. Warner pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Magistrate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• On Friday, a case of vandalism to property in the commission of a burglary was reported in the 800 block of North Fifth Avenue.

• On Saturday, a case of vandalism to property was reported in the 900 block of North Fifth Avenue.

• On Saturday, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 10 block of North Third Street.

• On Sunday, a case of damage to property was reported in the 1700 block of South Seventh Avenue.

• On Saturday, two cases of theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 900 block of South Second Street.
