As a state a in this area, I’ve worked with Tony Reed over the last few years in his role as executive director of the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center. I’ve found Tony to be a great person to work with. Tony’s work at the detention center has made him very knowledgeable in many areas important to state government, including the issues of crime, human services, mental health, and education, as the detention center must deal with all of those issues in great detail on a daily basis. The Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center has been exceptionally well run, it is one of the most efficient juvenile detention centers in the state much to the credit of Tony’s superb leadership.

I believe that electing Tony to the Iowa House would be a very smart move for Marshall County because he is already very knowledgeable in many priority areas, because he is a very hard worker, because he’s an exceptional manager, and because he has been so active in the community through the schools, church, and local community activities such as the Special Olympics, youth sports, and in many other ways.

Tony Reed will be a huge asset to Marshalltown and Marshall County in the state house, and will be able to give Marshalltown a greater voice on issues before the legislature as a member of the majority party. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Tony Reed for Iowa House District 71.
