PLEASANT HILL – Behind three Rams in double figures, Class 5A No. 7 Southeast Polk topped the Marshalltown High School girls’ basketball team 72-19 Tuesday night in Central Iowa Conference play.

After jumping out to a 16-6 first quarter lead, the Rams (12-4) scored 23 points in the second quarter to build a 39-11 halftime. Southeast Polk led 58-17 after three.

Nya Gatwech and Victoria Johnson led the Bobcats (1-14) with five points each. Regan Mazour scored four points, Grace Metzger had three and Aspen Chadderdon two.

Sierra Mitchell led Southeast Polk with 17 points. Shiloh McCool scored 15 and Casey Stuart had 12.

Marshalltown is at Mason City on Friday for a CIC North matchup.
