Court — Thursday
• Lindsay Jo Richerodt made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Richerodt pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.
• Jamell Goodman made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Goodman pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 in Magistrate Court.
• Rebecca Joan Reeder made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-second offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 1. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Coty Alan Savage made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13. Savage is released on his promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Christina Switzer made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a contempt hearing charge. Breanna Nelson is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing will be rescheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $100 cash only.
• Bradley Michael Starn made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Andrez Magana made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge. Magana will hire his own counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13. Magana is released on his promise to appear.

Arrests
• On Thursday, Rebecca Reeder,42, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-second offense.
Accidents
• On Wednesday, Jan. 23, a car driven by Derik Ryan Allbee, 20, of Sully, was northbound on Highway 14 when it turned into the Marshalltown Community College driveway and slid on the snow colliding with a pickup driven by Burke Thomas Aschan, 58, of Marshalltown. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Allbee car was estimated at $3,000 while the Aschan pickup received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
