VFWA has full activities for fall

The VFW 839 Auxiliary meeting was held on Sept. 17 at the Post Home. Sr. V. President Diane Welch called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. followed by the opening ceremonies according to Ritual. Asst. Secretary Linda Fuller roll call responding to nine members in attendance. One visitor Susan Conder. Temp Chaplain Delores Clayton recited the opening prayer. Marshalltown Evening Lions announce candy and nut fundraiser

The Marshalltown Evening Lions have kicked off its ANNUAL CANDY AND NUT FUNDRAISER. The Lions will have the same quality chocolates and nuts that people have become accustomed to in the past. The creamy chocolate and giant luscious salty nuts are available to order at partnership businesses and through any Evening Lion Club member. ALA Unit 46 holds General Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. on Sept. 8 by Meg Sponseller followed by opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, standing in silence and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary. The August meeting minutes were read by Kellie Allen and were approved as read. Dorothy Hellberg gave the treasurer’s report noting the previous month’s deposits and disbursements.
