Binford House Board elects 2020 officers and directors

The Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Clubs Board who own Binford House elected 2020 officers and directors at their Nov. 14 meeting with eight members present. The 2020 officers will be Deb Mason, president; Ce Hubbard, vice president; Joann Neven, recording and corresponding secretaries, Brandi Kerwood, treasurer; Sheryl Readout, assistant treasurer. LISCOMB — The Liscomb Legion Auxiliary Unite 87 met at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the Community Church in Union. Candy Wait hosted a dessert lunch following the meeting. Three ladies were present. President Sharon Hatch called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Auxiliary Preamble and a moment of silence for the POW/MIAs and deceased veterans. Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met Nov. 12 at Glenwood Place for lunch with eight members present, one guest and nine absent including the hostess Diane Hobson who had made the arrangement of the meeting earlier. Veterans programs presented at Twentieth Century

The Twentieth Century Club met at Fisher Community Center on Nov. 11. President Joynell Raymon called the meeting to order. Terry Gray introduced the program with two veterans–themed speakers. The first was Gloria DeBower from the Central Iowa Quilt Sew-ciety whose efforts through the Quilts of Valor program has made and distributed quilts to veterans in the Marshall County area for more than five years.
