Emley

BEAMAN — Elizabeth Emley, of Conrad, has been selected by the Beaman Legion Auxiliary, Unit 131, to attend the 2017 session of the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State at Drake University in June.

Emley is the daughter of Troy and Jordan Emley and a student at BCLUW Schools in Conrad, where she is involved in Book Club, Volleyball Manager, Silver Cord, Band and Letterwinner’s Club.

Emley is active in Liscomb Lively Laborers 4-H, Mid-Iowa Youth Beef Team, Marshall County Jr. Beef Breeds, Salt Company and Sewing Club.

At Girls State, Emley will hear several motivational speakers along with local and state government officials. She will learn all levels of government processes and participate in legislative sessions, campaigning, party rallies, debating and voting.
