Seventeen members of Chapter JU of the P.E.O. Sisterhood attended a meeting Aug. 21 at the home of Marlys Smith with Bonnie Herbold assisting. A regular business meeting was held with President Ann Isgrig presiding. Guests included two visitors from The State Chapter who provided updates and education on the various P.E.O. supported projects/scholarships, which are aimed at assisting women in pursuit of higher education. Next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the historic Taylor School House in Marshalltown.
