Sorority discusses Main Street flowers

Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch on June 8 with eight members present, and two guests in the home of Jan Keller. Health reports were given by many with two attending after hip surgery. Roll call was taken with the question asked: “What would you like to do on a ‘day out’ in July and August?” Minutes of the April meetings were read by Alice Nicholson, and Barb Noid gave the treasurer’s report after the 60th anniversary gift for Caralee Hutchens was paid. American Legion Auxiliary discusses many issues

The American Legion Auxiliary May 11 meeting was opened by President Deb Miller at the American Legion Post 46 in the lower level. The opening prayer was given by Chaplain Dorothy Hellberg. Following the prayer, Dorothy Hellberg led the group in a Memorial to the 10 unit members who passed away in the last year. The Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary was led by Miller. New member Laurel was welcomed by the membership. TTT Campers introduced to Iowa ET at May meeting

Two Marshalltown 5th grade girls who have been chosen as Iowa ET Campers this summer, were guests of that chapter when it met recently at the First Presbyterian Church.  Susan Baker and Margaret Johnson, ET Camp Chairmen, explained that both girls were actually selected for TTT Camp in 2020, but because of the pandemic, camp was cancelled, and they were able to “re-invite” the girls for 2021.  Because of uncertainties about how the week-away-from-home camp would fare in post-pandemic planning, members of Iowa ET had voted earlier this year to “do” camp themselves and ...
