Court — Friday

• Crystal Marie Lennie made an initial appearance on three counts of a forgery charge, nine counts of an identity theft charge and a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 20.

• Andrew Carl Stonebraker made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Raymond Starks is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrate Law Judge. Stonebraker is being held without bond.

• Michael Eugene Fulkerson made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Taylor Reichardt is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Fulkerson is being held without bond.

• Jeremy Scott Terrell made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. Terrell pleaded guilty to both charges. On the speeding charge the fine is $40 with a $14 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $119. The fine on the driving under suspension charge is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $402.97. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Teresa Kay Spencer made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Spencer pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court.

• Arturo Manzo Macias made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 20.

• Patrick Stansberry made an initial appearance through counsel, Michael Marquess, on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is waived. Stansberry is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Margarita Bollas Morales made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on an identity theft charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 20. Bollas Morales is released on her promise to appear.

• Daniel Robert Lott Sr. made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13.

• Jamie Joseph Wood made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Wood pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court.

• Josafat Salazar Cruz made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Cruz pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Todd Allen Fisher made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Fisher pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with an $87.50 surcharge and 460 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• A 17-year-old female made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a violation of instruction permit charge and a no insurance charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court.

• Michael Timothy Bruns failed to make an appearance on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Gary Wayne Ingledue made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge and a improper use of lanes charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 20. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Adrian Lavon Kincade made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Kincade pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due within 30 days.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a sprnkler asprinklern-no fire-unintentional at 901 E. Olive St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to West Main Street and North Ninth Street, a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 2902 S. Center St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 202 N. 27th St., 103 W. Church St., 204 Plaza Heights Road, 414 N. Eighth St. and 402 N. 10th Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident with general cleanup at 1005 W. Lincoln Way, two dispatched en routes to 2 N. Second Ave. and Zeller Avenue and Rail Way Street and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 312 N. Third St., 17 Crosby Park Drive, 109 N. 21st St., 407 N. Third Ave., 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd. and 122 W. Main St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an odor of smoke at 309 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd., a building fire at 2383 Marshalltown Blvd., two motor vehicle accidents with injuries at East State Street and North 10th Avenue and 1602 S. Second Ave. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 306 Nicholas Drive, 1704 S. Center St., 1 W. Grant St. and 1001 S. 18th Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to Third Avenue ad Thomas Drive and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 306 N. 13th Ave., 1211 W. State St., 2709 Arnold Drive and 206 Nicholas Drive.

Jan. 25

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 504 Lee St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 602 N. First Ave. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1211 W. State St., 507 Sharon Ave., 1619 S. 12th St. and 2901 S. Second St.

Jan. 26

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 105 E. Webster St.,. 505 N. 13th Ave. and 407 N. Third Ave. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1106 W. Nevada St., 208 W. Grant St., 410 S. First Ave., 602 E. South St. and 108 Westwood Drive.

Arrests

• On Saturday, Cody Hinkle, 30, of Marshalltown, was arrested in Conrad and charged with operating while under the influence-first offense. Hinkle posted bond and was released.

• On Saturday, Carlos Ruiz, 53, of Belmond, was arrested on Highway 20 and charged with driving while barred. Ruiz was released on his promise to appear.

Accidents

• On Sunday, Jan. 19, a vehicle driven by Taylor Crist, 23, of Des Moines, was westbound on Highway 20 when the driver lost control and entered the median where it rolled and came to rest on its wheels. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Crist vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

• On Saturday, Jan. 18, a vehicle driven by Christopher Palacios, 23, of Wauconda, Ill., was westbound on Highway 20 when he lost control on the ice and hit the bridge over Highway 14. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Palacios vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

• On Saturday, Jan. 18, a vehicle driven by Kaelyn Ambrose, 19, of New Hampton, was westbound on Highway 20 when the driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck the bridge side rail before coming to rest on the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ambrose vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

• On Friday, Jan. 17, a vehicle driven by Kadedrick Hood, 25, of Parkersburg, was northbound on Highway 14 when it lost traction on the icy roadway causing it to fishtail, spin sideways and enter the east ditch where it rolled and came to rest on its top. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hood vehicle was estimated at $7,000.

• On Tuesday, Jan. 14, a vehicle driven by Michael Allen, 19, of Waterloo, was westbound on Highway 20 when the vehicle dropped off onto the shoulder resulting in the driver overcorrecting and entering the ditch. No injuries were reported and the driver was able to drive out of the ditch. Damage to the Allen vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
