Court — Thursday

• Adam Wesley Flathers made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Christine Louise Sheppard made an initial appearance on a forgery charge, identity theft charge and theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 16. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Melanie Anne Holman made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a no valid driver’s license charge and an operating without interlock device charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 28. Holman is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours and sign a pre-trial release agreement. A substance abuse evaluation if ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Stanley Joseph Shawler made an initial appearance on a unsafe backing charge. Shawler pleaded guilty and the fine is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25, due within 30 days.

• William Nathaniel Markle made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Markle pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 in Magistrate Court.

• Cesar Daniel Guillen Rivera made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Guillen Rivera pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Stacy Kapayou, 42, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Luis Rodriguez-Garcia, 27, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Wednesday, Quentin Hafner, 24, was arrested for two counts of driving under suspension, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-first offense, operation without registration, fraudulent use of registration and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-first offense.

• On Wednesday, Melanie Holman, 47, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offense, no valid driver’s license, eluding and operating without an interlock device.

• On Wednesday, Richar Suastegui-German, 32, was arrested for theft-fifth degree-possession of stolen property and no valid driver’s license.

• On Wednesday, Skyler Metivier, 18, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.

• On Wednesday, Andrea Grulkey, 33, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
