Court — Thursday

• Robert Allen Bird Jr., made an initial appearance on an escape charge and a parole violation charge. On the escape charge the public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 11. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. On the parole violation charge Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Bird is being held without bond.

• Jesse Albee made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a contempt hearing charge. The contempt hearing is rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 7. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

• Jacqueline I. Hernandez Cerna made an initial appearance on a no proof of insurance charge and a driving while revoked charge. Hernandez Cerna pleaded guilty to the no insurance charge and the fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75, due within 30 days.

On the driving while revoked charge the public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Dec. 23.

• Damonte Isaac Smith made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Smith pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.

• Jose Manuel Sanchez made an initial appearance on a unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Sanchez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50, due within 30 days.
