Castro, Hernandez Gonzalez crowned 2024 MHS Homecoming royalty

Members of the Al Exito student group carried signs and tossed candy in the parade. 
The high school cross country girls wore matching purple “Rapunzel’s Runners” shirts for the parade. 
T-R Sports Editor Ross Thede proudly represented eighth grade Bobcat football in the parade.
Members of the MHS Dance Team pumped up the crowd at the parade and later during the pep rally. 

Bobcat spirit was in the air on Thursday night as the annual Marshalltown High School homecoming parade made its way down Main Street before a pep rally at Leonard Cole Field that culminated with the crowning of 2024 king and queen Osmar Castro and Gissell Hernandez Gonzalez. The Bobcat football team will look for its first win of the season in Friday night’s homecoming contest against Waterloo West.
