Arrests

• On Friday, April 5, Kaily Ali Shah, 41, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine-first offense.

• On Friday, April 5, David Propp, 57, was arrested for reckless use of fire or explosives.

Arrests

• On Sunday, April 7, Daniel Brafford, 33, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness-no intent.

• On Saturday, April 6, Sergio Hernandez-Cerna, 26, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, April 6, Morgan Harre, 26, was arrested for going armed with intent, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness-no intent, domestic abuse assault-first offense with dangerous weapon and domestic abuse assault-simple.

Accidents

• On Friday, April 5, a car driven by Joel Jeffrey Vinson, 48, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway resulting in heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Vinson car was estimated at $5,000.

• On Wednesday, April 3, a car driven by Audrey Alice Andresen, 18, of Ferguson, was eastbound on 290th Street when she struck one of the deer standing in the roadway near the front driver’s side headlight. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Andresen car was estimated at $1,600.

• Jason Allan Krough made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Benjamin Harris-Medina is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on May 3. Krough is being held without bond.

• Maria Elena Mendoza Nava made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. Mendoza Nava pleaded guilty and the fine is $345 with a $51.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $456.75.

• Taylor Dawn Lynch made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination charge. Lynch pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Hilda Rocibel Angel Melendez made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Angel Melendez pleaded guilty and the fine is $345 with a $51.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $456.75.

• Jose Luis Martinez Jr. made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge and a rabies vaccination violation charge. Martinez pleaded guilty to both charges and the fine is $105 for each charge with a $15.75 surcharge on each and $60 in court costs for a total of $301.50.

• Steven Carl Williams Jr. made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge and a speeding charge. Jacob Heard is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on April 26. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• John Gary Wilson made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a no insurance charge and a failure to maintain control charge. Barry Kaplan appeared as counsel. The preliminary hearing is waived. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
